Source baseline#

The 2026 second editions of IEC 62820-1-1 and IEC 62820-1-2 cover general and IP building intercom requirements. IEC 62820-2:2017 addresses advanced security intercom for emergency/danger verification and instruction. ISO 7240-19:2007 remains confirmed current as of 2025 for emergency purpose sound systems, but local adopted fire/emergency standards govern deployment.
